In an Institute for Reform poll (RIO 2026-10, October 8, 2026, n=1,016), 66.8% said our politics today does not represent the voices of people in their 20s to 40s, against 30.4% who said it does; 'does not represent' exceeded half in every age group. On politicians born in the 1980s or 1990s taking on major responsibilities in running the country, 48.5% said it is appropriate and 42.5% that it is not, a 6.0 percentage point difference within the margin of error. As the most urgent issue for people in their 20s to 40s, 43.2% chose housing and real estate and 29.9% jobs and the gap with non-regular workers. On what is most needed to reflect their voices, 31.6% chose more participation by people in their 20s to 40s in government policymaking.
